A Day In Movie World

On the 2nd of January during my holiday in Brisbane, my family and I went to Movie World located in Gold Coast. Movie World is full of Warner Bros productions such as Batman, Superman, Scooby Doo, etc. We went there by car from our apartment and it took us about an hour to go there. When we arrived there, most of the carparks were occupied as many people also came to Movie World. We saw the long queue to buy tickets and had to line up as well. Anyway, it didn't take long to get our tickets.

When we got to the entrance, we saw the Batman vertical coaster. Well, none of us went in the Batman vertical coaster. Firstly, we went to the Roxy theatre. We watched Shrek 4D and behind each chair, it squirted water at us whenever there was a part full of water. We saw a Scooby Doo mobile and the people acting as them were quite real. We went to the Scooby Doo entertainment. We didn't know what was the Scooby Doo entertainment about. We went in to queue up, and boy! What a long line it was as it took us about 45 minutes to get our turn. The Scooby Doo entertainment was an indoor coaster so we wanted to try it. Anyway, when we got in, the ride freaked me out a little as one part it went backwards, going down, quite fast. Well, my little brother was given the fright out of him and I heard him nearly cry. Anyway, it was a nice coaster ride.

When we went out, we took hot dogs (frankfurters) as our snack. I didn't feel hungry, so I didn't eat the hot dogs. After our snack, we saw a crowd looking at a performance. Someone acting as Batman fighting two thieves with lethal force. After that, we went to the River Lake (Something like that). My two elder brothers didn't want to follow us. I didn't want to follow too but i just went for fun. Later I found out inside, it was the Finding of Bugs Bunny. Quite boring except the part where I got wet.

Later, my eldest brother was asked to go with me to the Road Runner coaster for no reason. Quite a fast coaster, but it was just getting fun when it stopped. Then, my whole family except for my eldest brother went to the Batman, The Movie 2. It was like a helicopter shaking while your hands clinging to the rubber spot underneath the seat. The movie was nice anyway. We did lots of other stuffs too but that's too much to explain. Later, my family went to someone's house. (Guess who?)

My Farewell Party

On the 18th of December, I celebrated my farewell party in Sunway Pyramid with my classmates and my church friends. Most of them couldn't come, but it was still a great party. Ian Tan, James Lim, Daniel Ling, Shemuel Poh, Pang Chee Lun, Luke Chan, Crystal Yap, and Rachel Chui came to my farewell party. When I woke up in the morning, my grandmother asked me who was at the gate. I was wondering who was at the gate... Suddenly, when I looked out the window, I saw my two church friends, Ian and James standing there, waving at me.. I was shocked to see them so punctual to be at my house. I went down and opened the gate for them.. They greeted me, "Good morning, Daniel." I was very sleepy so I told them to wait downstairs for a while while I went up to take a bath.
After taking a bath, I got in my attire and went down to take a drink. Then, I told them the whole story what I was doing when they reached at my house. Later, I soon found out that my parents went out for a stroll in the park. So while waiting for my parents, I had a talk with Ian and James. Once my parents came back, my eldest brother woke up to take care of us during the farewell party. My father and brother took a quick bath then we went to Sunway. We had a good talk in the car too.. When we reached there, Shemuel smsed me to tell me that he was already there. We rushed to McDonalds and saw Shemuel in that dark attire waving at us. Shemuel gave me a present for my farewell (How sweet!) After having our breakfast in McDonalds, we went to look how many people were there. Suddenly, I saw Crystal with her dad near McDonalds. She said she didn't want to skate yet because she wanted to wait for her friend, Rachel. So, my friends went down first to go ice skating in the skating ring. There were about 8-10 people in the skating ring skating.. I had to stay back to watch out for my friends.. Daniel Ling came next with his sister and mother. My father and I had a talk with them. Daniel Ling also gave me a gift! Then we went down to buy a ticket for him. I didn't know that my father said only to buy for him.. So I went in too, (Uh-oh, big trouble!) So I made a big mistake leaving my dad behind to be on the lookout for my friends.. It's a good thing my dad knew my friends who were coming.. Chee Lun and Luke came next, but it was 20 minutes after I skated with my church friends..
I greeted Chee Lun with a hello, and he gave me a present too! But it was a Tweety Bird wrapper -.-". I didn't really know how Luke got there until Chee Lun told me.. As we skated, my friends were having blisters on their feet and they needed plasters. Fortunately, I brought lots of plasters in case my friends needed them. Luke was pushing Ian and Chee Lun like mad, so they fell down about 10 times.. Finally, the girls came and they were in their skates already.. My eldest brother wanted to skate in the skating ring too so I gave him one of my spare gloves.. Sooner or later, Crystal needed gloves so my kind brother gave her the gloves and went to buy a pair of gloves from the counter. So, we skated again with the girls now, but they were so lazy everytime standing in the middle of the skating ring.. At 12pm, all of us had to go out of the skating ring as the workers had to go on the truck and do some cleaning the ice thing... We had some rest and took some snacks..
Later, we went to the door to wait, so that we can be the first ones to tryout the skating ring.. Well, we were the first ones to drop too.. The ice was slippery than the first batch of ice in the morning.. Many of my friends started to get blisters at this time because they dropped easily on the slippery ice.. My shoelaces of the ice shoe kept on coming out, so I got so frustrated.. I tied my shoelaces very tight and had to suffer with it.. Anyway, I only got one blister, and it's not even a little pain. At 2pm, my friends and I went out of the skating ring to take our lunch at McDonalds. We took some drinks at the small shop.. The girls went back before we went to McDonalds.. Probably they went shopping or they really went back..
Well, lunch was delicious and we had a great time there.. At 3pm, all of us dismissed from McDonalds and we went back home separately.. Ian, James and Luke came back through my transport back.. I hope my friends and I had a good time at the farewell party, =P.
